Refund policy

Last updated: 3 October 2026

1. Change-of-mind purchases

Adelaide Gifts does not offer refunds or exchanges where you simply change your mind or select the wrong item. This does not affect your rights where goods are faulty, misdescribed or otherwise fail to meet applicable consumer guarantees.

2. Reporting a problem

Please contact hello@adelaidegifts.com.au within 14 days of receiving your order if you notice a fault, damage, an incorrect item or another problem. Include your order number or other proof of purchase and a description of the issue; photographs may help us assess it. The requested 14-day notification period does not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including for a fault discovered later.

3. Remedies under Australian Consumer Law

If goods have a major failure, you may choose a refund or replacement and may be entitled to compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. For a minor failure, we may provide an appropriate remedy, such as repair, within a reasonable time. If the problem cannot be remedied within a reasonable time, further rights may apply. These rights also apply to sale items; original packaging is not a condition of a statutory remedy.

4. Returning goods

Contact us before sending an item so we can provide suitable return instructions. Our return address is Adelaide Gifts, 46 Jetty Road, Glenelg SA 5045, Australia. We will cover reasonable return costs where goods are confirmed to have a consumer-guarantee failure. Tell us if an item is bulky or difficult to return so that we can discuss suitable arrangements. Keep proof of postage and any return-cost receipts.

5. Assessment and refunds

We may assess the goods and request reasonable evidence of purchase and the reported problem. Where a refund is due, it will be made to the original payment method where practicable. We will advise you of the outcome and refund arrangements after assessment. Bank or payment-provider processing times may vary.

6. Preservation of rights

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
